Continuing my quest for 365 Lil Skel drawings in 365 days I thought I'd try putting Lil' Skel and Lil' Skella in famous movie roles. First up a series of Star Wars drawings.

Lil' Skel NBA (#9)

With all the hype around NBA free agency this week (Go Bulls!) I was inspired to draw Lil' Skel as the NBA logo.

This only drawing number 9 in my quest for 365 in a year. I have some serious catching up to do.

IF Ahead (#8)

A few weeks ago the Illustration Friday topic was 'Ahead'. Ironically I'm behind in posting the picture I drew based on one of my Dad's bad puns.

World Cup Fever (#6 & #7)

With the World Cup starting this weekend the focus of the world is on soccer (or football to the non-American readers. Here's a couple of drawings of Lil' Skel as a soccer player. (if nothing else, this drawing exercise helped me learn to draw a soccer ball better)

Congratulations Blackhawks (#5)

In honor of the Chicago Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup, I present Lil' Skel the Blackhawk fan.

While I could have just photoshopped the real Blackhawks logo on the front of the jersey, I decided to draw it myself and then shrink it to fit. I've also attached the full size Blackhawk logo drawing.

This is only Lil' Skel drawing #5. I have a lot of catching up to do to meet my goal of 365 Lil Skel drawings in a year, but I'm working on it.

Lil' Sel Walking (#4)

Nothing fancy, just a side view of Lil' Skel walking. I drew him the same scale as previous pictures but his legs look a little funky to me. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get better at this with 361 drawings to go.

Ahoy there mateys, it be Lil' Skel on a pirate flag! This be drawing number one in me personal challenge...365 Lil' Skel drawings by April 19, 2011. IF Detective

This week's Illustration Friday topic is 'Detective'. So here's Lil' Skel as a 1940's private detective. Originally I was going to put him in a Sherlock Holmes style hat but I couldn't quite figure out how to make it look right on his head.

Meet Lil' Skel

I came up with this little character this weekend and I decided to name him Lil' Skel. He's easy to draw and I think he's got a lot of possibilities. I have an idea in mind but it may take me a few days to get it ready. Stay tuned....
